The Dirty Grind..

Sometimes you run across a place that  just leaves you speechless. Tonight was that. The Dirty Grind was just that for me tonight. I know I spent at very least an hour there. The DIrty Grind 2

I even broke out a special avi just for this sim because I wanted to be able to explore without worrying about lag. This is a Dinkie . You can get one here. Dinki.

I set out and tried my best to explore every inch of this sim. The amount of detail they put into this sim is amazing. My pictures dont really do it justice! Artistic little place. From what I could tell there also have live music a few nights a week.  Its a must visit place on my list. I will be going back on my next night off to see what all I missed.

Life is Good…

I love Second Life and I love the opportunity it gives to explore worlds otherwise untouchable by some. I visited THREE awesome places tonight. The first was called Pine Lake. Low lag.. very picturesque.. Sort of an apocalyptic feel to it. Great place for pictures.  Sorta weirdish vibe.. but then again I have a sorta weirdish vibe myself so of course I was into it. The second place, Pelican Point, was very retro. I got a new gacha dress today so it was a perfect place to flaunt my stuff. The third and final place is called Devin. This one was probably my favorite. I initially chose it because it looked like there may be wild life there… although I didnt find any wild life.. I did find LOTS and LOTS of great spots for pictures.  I’ll chalk tonight up as a successful jaunt around SL. I hope that this post  finds you well and looking for adventures in SL!

Ash Falls…

Ash Falls …. this place was fun from the min I landed. It was a huge help that the lag was very low as well. The rez point is open to the public and that spot alone is very picture worthy! The ambiance of the place rocks! First thing I tried to do was high-jack a truck. The owners of this truck were smart to lock it so that folks like me couldn’t cause havoc. Ash Fall's the truck

After discovering that I wasn’t going to be driving around this sim in a shiny truck, I struck out to explore. In the distance I could hear a phone ringing… at that point I knew I had to find its significance. Wasn’t hard to locate where the ringing came from. I clicked the phone and got a pop up saying I must join to continue my journey… Ash Fall's the phone call The fee to join is 200L… BUT… you get rez rights. Anyone that takes pictures in SL on a regular basis knows how awesome it is to have rez rights to a place to take pictures…. Lets face it… backdrops are fun at times but the best pictures are taken in world with the sim as a back drop. So… I happily shelled out my 200L and took the TP.

I wasn’t disappointed in the least. This place is beautiful. Much attention has been paid to detail. I did run into a few private spots that threatened to kick me if I didn’t get my behind away from them… but the rest of the sim was free to roam! I love this place! The fact that they did such a beautiful job on it is only intensified by the fact that I experienced almost NO lag…. great job Ash Falls! Ash Fall's_003

Ironwood Hills…

Ironwood Hills  Ironwood Hills  is a post-apocalypse sim ravaged by time and nature.” This is an oldie but a goodie. I love this sim. However… its  VERY laggy. As you see I only got one picture while I was there because my computer struggled just to catch a breath. Would’ve loved to have spent more time on the sim but the lag is just over the top… Still a great place for pictures if your graphics can keep up.

Postcards from Second Life…

Like so many people in SL, I love taking pictures. SL has so many beautiful places to feed into our photography addiction. With that in mind I decided to start doing a postcard series. Maybe a few places a week. I work a lot of hours in RL so saying i’ll do it more frequently than that would be unrealistic. When visiting all these great locations the one thing that I recommend is setting your windlight settings to Estate time and get a feel for what the creator of that sim was going for! Above all… have fun!

First place  – Andrui

My first thought was … Oh cool date spot! Low on lag and beautiful background for pictures! I’m glad I found this little spot. I look forward to visiting there again! I got three different shots there.
